Is anybody able to advise me if the Butcher Country Track is open & what Vic Government Agency do I contact for info on access to tracks in the area ?

From memory the Butcher Country Track is open where it joins the Howitt High Planes track.

To make sure check here,

I did notice that some of the tracks that I want to use next week are closed. Looks like detours are required.

Butcher Country should be open (I hope so) but the Caledonia valley which runs adjacent will be closed till the end of the month. Heading through Wonnangatta, Macalister & out via Jamieson this weekend myself :-)
