I've done some before / after photos of the recent work done by the same company at different branches - the first in
Brisbane and the fixup in
Townsville.
I'll let you compare the standard of work for yourself.

I'm now advising people to buy their vehicle stock standard - negotiate all your deals so you can then compare apples with apples. Once you start adding in the after market stuff the waters get more muddy as you go on. e.g. a set of (4) rubber mats from the dealer cost me $140. The exact same mats aftermarket were actually only $22 each.
Hope it helps somebody in future deals .....

Hi
Malcolm, luckily you solved the issues now before a fire started up from wiring rubbing through onto bare metal ?? Big difference in quality of work, but must addmit in saying that I have seen some shonky work done by the (so called professionals as
well) Pays when you find some one who has some pride in their work to stick to them.. Not much help though when your stuck out in the scrub with a burnt out vehicle or broken down due to slack workmanship....Glad its all sorted now.....Regards Steve M

Hi Steve
If you look at the "birds nest" photo, the fixed one includes an inline fuse to help alleviate that shorting problem. Amazes me how one fitter just couldn't care less about that sort of thing.
Takes the shine off buying a brand new vehicle. :-(
Time to move on now. (After the bullbar issue gets sorted out).

Sometimes dealers will do the fitting side of aftermarket items to save paying the supplier doing it... and do it as cheaply as possible.
If you are having aftermarket items fitted it is a good idea to specify who you want them fitted by and check with that company that it is being done by them.
