Watching Mick O's video the other day, the one that he is filtering the
water... you know the one.. LOL
Anyway it got me thinking and off my ass, to modify the
water system in the Troopy by adding a 30 psi pressure switched
water pump and 0.5 micron Nominal filter to the 20 l
water container in the back.

The container has been our
water supply ever since the
water bladder leaked and filled the Troopy with 80 l of
water.... :-((. 5 years, and has worked
well.

We now use the 20 l bottle in the back with 6, 10 l bottles under the floor, and top up the 20 l bottle when needed.

The Filter was a kit and came with the tap, hose and fittings. The pump came with nothing all fitting where different sizes, pain in the.... but got around that.
Note A4 paper as the leak test, not a drop..
The
water taste of nothing, as in you can't taste it, might have to mix it with some whiskey to know I'm drinking it.. :-)
I also left the old hose and tap, so we can still get the
water out the same old way (something to do with a guy and an apple) it's only a 4.5 l/min pump, but works
well, fast enough.
Cheers
Richard

Glad to see you're getting some inspiration there Richard. Is it raining over there and you're stuck inside reading my
blogs and watching those Vimeo clips LOL. Nice effort. I'll be doing something different with the new rig as
well.
Cheers Mick

Still off work Mick 1 week to go, plenty of time to surf the net..
The problem is, is what you see is mark II.. LOL.
I'm now the proud owner of these little beauties
I was Lucky to be able to swap one for one of these little beauties
so I turned it into a drum pump..
I've got a shed full of Mark I 's
We had the two problems with the bladder.
1. the
water when off, bug in it it would clean up with chemicals, but that was all of our
water.
2. the bladder split, loss of all our
water, lucky it was at home a week after getting home.
so I went to multi containers to minimize the loss.
Cheers
Richard
