Can anyone tell if there is still
water in Lake in Eyre? I looked around in the net but couldn't find any information about the current situation up there. Too bad I couldn't make it earlier but we're very keen on what it's like with
water in it...
Thanks...

I was there in August and the TV was saying there was plenty of
water but I never saw any from the "shore" at any location.

We were there in Oct also and still
water in south and north lake. However, you will not see in from the ground- we went on a flight from the Maree pub and saw it. It was absolutely brilliant from up there seeing all the colours of the Lake and the countryside.
We drove further around the lake from Maree towards
Coward Springs to a
lookout which is the closest point and you cant see
water- but only the salt pans which look a bit muddy.
You could always ring one of the air charter companies and see what they say re
water and what you can see.
