Almost certainly Chinese made. I looked at a similar model,it started and ran ok ,but was too big and noisy for what I wanted.
It also made black smoke for the short time it ran and I never got to see it fully warmed up.

It would be ok for occasional power back up I think, but you would have to check and see if it could run electronic equipment sensitive to power fluctuations

70db is not silent or even quiet...
80db is a modern rock concert ans the ohs limit for working in noisy surrondings...
47db is the 1ka yamaha genny... it is quiet

2 db is twice as loud as 1 db...

70db is what you would expect for a 6Kva Diesel.

A friend of mine purchased one of these, except it was red, & has been extremely happy with it, has had it wired so that it can run his house in the event of power cuts, bushfires etc. never had any issues.

I forgot to ask, why would you compare it with a 1KVa Yamaha 4 stroke petrol powered genset?

Also, have you ever heard an 11hp diesel engine in a boat, it would be lots more than 70db.

.
70db is very very loud in the bush

i am comparing noise levels, not gensets to rock concerts...

"2 db is twice as loud as 1 db..."

No, decibels are logarithmic.

3db means twice as much energy as 0db

83db means twice as much energy as 80db

A change of 3 db is the barely detectable as change in loudness level by most people.

.
i did some reading about decibels a while ago and it seemed that there where differant types of decibels...

i was originaly told it was 2 for 1, then i read it was multiples of 3's and then i was told gain it was two for 1....

Im comfy with either....

so is that deisel is six times louder than my yammy??

Copy of a Yanmar does not make it a Yanmar.
Says you can buy spares anywhere, but with a WhatTheHellIsTheName diesel engine sure every mower shop stocks spares.
Never seen a single cyl diesel doing 3000 rpm on gen set last long any brand. We always used to belt drive small diesel gen sets if not direct coupled at 1500 rpm. Kubota own small single cyl diesel gen sets were belt driven. That tells you something. Single cyl diesels dont come much better than Kubota, Hatz and Yanmar.

47dB is the noise level of the 1kw Yamaha at idle.
It goes up to 57dB at full power, according to their brochure.
An increase of 3dB doubles the sound energy, but not the apparent "loudness"
For the average human ear, a 10dB increase relates to a doubling of the sound loudness.
So, at 57dB, that's, basically, twice as loud to the human ear.
So, not sure what you're going to be able to operate on a 1KW generator at idle...but I'd imagine the average running noise would be significantly higher than 47dB, when running anything signficant, such as a fridge, etc.
