Hi All, I am trying to nut out a tripod type setup for a canvas bag shower. Does any seasoned adventurers out there have an idea on a good setup (if a suitable tree isn't available) cheers john

if you have a roof rack just jam a shovel or branch off it, works okay for me.

Handy
I have a dowel stuck inside the rhino roof bar. Just pull it out a couple of feet and hang the shower off it. Shower over, push the dowel back in. It's a permanent fixture.

Yep, both work well. Put a small notch in the end of the shovel handle or dowl to stop the bucket sliding down or off.

Have you considered one of the 12 volt electric showers? Lot less weight to sling from a tripod. Tent pole from the roofrack as per the photo. Not actually needed anyway as you have the handpiece and hose. $25 bucks at Repco or a camping store. There is also a self contained unit. Works on 2 D-cell batteries.

G'day rabbitoh, square extendable metal tent poles forming the tripod may be strong enough. A water miser shower bucket can be made from a 4 litre paint tin with holes drilled in the bottom. 4 litres to soap up, 4 litres to rinse off. Flow rate is governed by the number and size of holes in the tin. Happy Days. Pauper.

helps though if you have a left handed screwdriver and a glass hammer to mount your flywire waterbag. A long weight might help as well.

Don't forget the wheel barrow full of steam for a hot shower!

You could also get a tin of striped paint to jazz up the whole thing.

Nah!
put 40lb of compression in the bucket and it will push the water up the pipe.
Don't need no stinkin' pumps.
cheers
