I have a similar issue - may be of interest - my controller boxes (winding mechanisms) are both broken - the locking catches rattled loose on a recent trip (twice - and on blacktop too - not gravel) - eventually let the window out, it caught the wind and broke both winders. The are very light duty mechanisms (weight saving I guess) - I rang Camec re a claim and they are posting me two new control boxes. The control boxes don't pull apart but they do come off easily. If you have the same windows, the screws that hold the control boxes are on the outside of the window frame - not inside). Once off, the window may close and then you can study the boxes.

I think the worm drive may have slipped when you opened it did the wider turn but not open for a few turns???

Maybe try someone pushing slightly against the window as you try to turn it maybe the worm drive will slip once again in to the normal position.

Check that you didn't wind the window out too far. This can cause the top of the frame to misalign, they are only meant to open so far at the top hinge but the winder will push the window to the extent of the side arms, which is more than the top hinge will allow, this then drops the window a few mill and it wont fit at the bottom, be careful, don't try to bump the window into place, you'll break the glass.

It may of got 'out of kilter' with the other side. Assuming it is a standard Camec type of window, remove the rod at the top interior which links the winders on each side, get the window straight then replace the rod. All should be well again.

Hi Guys,
If any of your vans are less than two years old there has been a problem with all the catches supplied by Camac. We had a van built this year and all the catches have been changed twice. Camac know it is a problem and they just won't stay shut once you start travelling.
I no that new boy was asking about not closing but thought this might be of some interest to others who are having window problems. I got my van off Elross and he has had to change a few vans.
