Fridge under ute lid

Anyone had experience with a fridge under the ute lids....
Concern about build up of heat...
Thoughts anyone??...Experience???

Depending on the fridge really..Ive had my Evakool under a black tarp in 40 odd degree day (sunny)..Accidentally put the eggs and tomatoes on the wrong side and they froze rock solid....
If your vehicle is white even better...

I have an older 2nd gen 29L Engel with insul cover under the hard lid in my older RA. In my newer RA, I have a 3rd gen 32L Engel without an insul cover and find that there is no concerable difference between the bevvies taken from either fridge.
Under real hot temps, the contents do stay colder and more chilled if the frisge is more full so there is not much air space in there. Even if you need bottles of
water, better than air space.

they will more efficient if there is good flow of air around the condenser.
