the turn table appears to be mounted on the tailgate or perhaps it's bolted to the interior floor with an extension plate protruding far enough out the rear
to allow it to oscillate and turn

I've seen this before and it had close ups of the tailgate.
The standard straps for the tailgate to stop it going beyond horizontal are still used without any additional bracing...and guess what? the 5th wheeler hitch was just bolted thru the tailgate.
Naturally it was from the states.
Some people have no idea and I bet electric brakes and or breakaway's aren't fitted.

Yeah, I thought this was a shocker. Don't know which country it's from. From all the rigs I have seen on the roads in Australia in the time that I have been caravaning, I have found the owners to be safety concious and very proud owners.

He did the right thing and added a couple of extra chains to hold the tailgate up as
well as the bit of timber underneath so all good :-))

This picture has done the rounds before, with the following explanation:
This rig was set up statically to get around a loophole for
parking the caravan on the road. The caravan could not be parked there unless it was attached to a tow vehicle.
