I am just wanting to know if anyone has heard of this CHEVRON manufacturer in Victoria? There is one for sale in
Brisbane on eBay but the guy knows nothing about the brand. I have searched google and nothing comes up at all. There are a straight copy of a Jayco Eagle outback. They have independant coil and shock
suspension, which is far better than a jayco's leaf spring, shocks and live axle.
Any leads will be much appreciated.

Hi Mario,
Never heard of the brand either. It looks exactly like
mine on the interior. (had a look at the ad on Ebay) But the outside is different. Would be worried buying something that you can't find a manufacturer for..........
I have a 2007 Jayco Outback Eagle & I can say that the chassis &
suspension are not the problem area on these campers. I would be more concerned about the interior staying together on rough tracks.
I think that independent coil
suspension would be a bit of overkill for these "Outback" campers. But it's there anyway so I guess thats a good thing for the purchaser.
Having said that I love
mine & have had it on some tough tracks in the past couple of years. Just need to drive to the conditions. We've had only minor problems with ours in this time.

Hi PMK
Thanks for your comments. Don't get me wrong, I like the Jayco outback and am looking at buying one, it's just that forums like these have bagged them in the past. I think that driving to the conditions seems to be what everyone is saying.

Mario,
No probs.... I didn't take any offence. A lot of people bag them but there are more of them on the road than any other & there are also a lot of happy Jayco owners... Me included. You can pay up to 5 times the price for some "real"
off road caravans but I reckon Jaycos are good value & affordable for the average user.
We love ours & I would say we are a little more adventurous with ours than maybe we should be.
As said you just need to drive to the conditions.
