Gidday Wilko
I work for a council in the South East of
Melbourne. We were evacuated after a torrent of
water came through the roof, followed soon after, by sections of the roof collapsing.
I’ve also heard reports the Fountain
Gate shopping centre was also evacuated, but I can’t confirm that.
Regards
Kim

Hi Kim, Fountain
Gate was evacuated this today. We were on the phone to a friend who was in there shopping and he said gotta go we are being evacuated. The sirens on this end of the phone were deafening. Apparantly
water everywhere and they were worried about the roof.

Gidday
I received a telephone call half an hour ago and was told most of the Cinema complex suffered considerable damage....not sure about the other areas.
During the conversation, I was also informed most of our electrical and IT systems are damaged, so there will be no return to work over the coming days.
It might be an excuse to go bush again. LOL
Regards
Kim

Well well well - so Fountain
Gate actually exists !
I always thought it was a ficticious name made up for the TV show.
You learn something every year ... lol

Gidday Fred
I cop that every day from ‘Doug’ (not this site). Then the mongrel asks me to help him build a 40 x 90 shed!
Us blokes in council work really hard on important issues. This morning I went down to Yarragon and spoke to a fella about a micro brewery, just to provide you tourists with a bit of liquid refreshment.
You bald headed turkeys in NSW don’t know nothing about culture, or the hard work us council officers put in to educate you barbarians. LOL
Regards
Kim

Wagga had a bit of thunder this afternoon but we have just had 2 hours of nice solid rain, help put our fire out that we were struggling with anyway.

Ditto here at
Young where I am currently at. Dust & wind 3.30 - 4.30pm followed by thunder & lightning, then rain, and still raining now.

Wednesday night
Broken Hill had 18mm of good rain, then the sun came out.
That afternoon we had a dust storn, then a thunderstorm that dunped mud everywhere, then yesterday a good dust storm.
I'm now getting myself psyched up to go out and start the mower, as the grass has grown about one inch in two days.
