Mate just clicked over 400,000ks in his 80 series landcruiser. All seems good so far, we got to discussing how many ks these can last for.... any ideas?

Hi Royce,
Doug T(NT) has over 700,000 on his 1hz. I have heard of over 1,000,000 with the right servicing. I only have 190,000, so i'll be stoked with 500,000.

All in the servicing, if
well looked after not driven into the ground but used regularly they can clock 1 Million Kilometers no problems. I have heard of some of the old Ford Six cylinder taxis doing 700,000kms or even more.

how longs a peiceof string? its all in the way you drive them as much as servicing.
Ive jumped in many a petrol POS ford or holden taxi with more Ks than that because there lucky to get switched off and left to go cold a few times a week

My HZJ75 Cruiser has 406,000 km on it and still going strong.
While on topic, if and when should one consider changing big-end bearings in a normally aspirated 1HZ ?
