Four Mile
Hill fire trail. At the risk of drawing fire from 4wd'ers. Is the Four Mile
Hill fire trail from
Sawyers Hill (off the Snowy Mnts Hwy) suitable for a Subaru Outback down to the Eucumbene River in Summer?

A bit risky if it rains. It has a few ruts on the last steep bit before you get to the river, careful wheel placement will be required.

Thanks Tony. I thought I might be able to save myself a couple of k's at the start of a walk, but I think the wise thing will be to start from the Hwy
junction.
Thanks for the advice.

You will be able to get down to the tree line without any problems, and
park the vehicle there. That will cut a bit off the walk.
