To All Members,
We have just installed two updates to the MM system:

1. Business Members now have full access to the MM system so you can now send and receive MM to & from Business Members.

2. There is now a new Member Message Alert system that will send you an email alert when someone sends you a MM. This option is turned on by default, if you wish to turn it off then please visit the My Messages page and turn off the checkbox under the preferences heading.

If you have any issues with the MM system please let us know.

David
The Email to me button that appears on the footer of the MM does not seem to work?
When you click it it does not send a copy of the message to my email.

Cheers'

Hi David,
Will I still be alerted to a MM when I log on?
Cheers,

Yes - the online alert happens regardless of the setting of the email flag. We setup the email flag for those that do not logon often. Business members often fall into this category and some members only visit weekly or monthly.

Cheers David,
Yeah, I drop In near ever day, so I would be able to turn the email notification off.
I can understand that some don't visit every day for various reasons, therefore an email would be a great tool, especially for business members.

Great David, both improvements are appreciated, and welcome the email notification of MMs, particularly when travelling and not accessing the forum all the time. I have also found it a problem in the past not being being able to MM business members. Good move all round.

Thanks

Another thing that Business Members can't do - Switch off the ads ..
As a normal Member you can but as Business Member the tick box is not active ..

Mandrake,

Yes that should have been done and I have now installed this option for Business Members.

Hi David
The new system works a treat. When I was working on your latest new trek yesterday, I received 4 emails during the afternoon, all advising of new mm's. Just clicked on the view message and went straight to the mm. Another great improvement, well done David.

Cheers

Stephen
