I have a folding 120 w solar panel. Each of the 60w panels have a small black box from which a positive and negative cable exits. Is it ok to run both these pairs of cables straight into a Anderson plug (which will then connect 10m of 6mm cable to the battery via a regulator) ?
Cheers, Scoota

Yes if you are charging a 12V system.

Yes, forgot to mention it is for connecting to a 12v dual battery system on a Defender.

Thanks Derek your advice is always straight forward, informative and to the point.
You also stock some good pieces of kit.

I would think a 6mm cable may be a bit thin for a 10 Mt long extension cable

Have a similar set up with 2folding panels that I sometimes mount on the roof rack when travelling. They then charge a 100ah fullriver battery which seems to cope very
well with my fridge. My question is that the panel is connected via Anderson plug to another A plug near the battery.Should the regulator be on the roof or inside nearer the battery?
Thanks,
Mary

Mary,
it has to be beside the battery for optimum performance
