Haven't experienced it myself but there's a lot of talk about massive induction noise with snorkels on the new DiD Paj - to the point not only of distraction but damn near mind numbing...

Hi Stumbly
I had a Safari
Snorkel put on my Hilux. I believe they fit most 4x4'S.
I paid about $600 fitted, about 1.5 years ago. The factory snorkels were a couple of hundreds more.
Cheers
Wato

NS & NT Pajero DID Auto needs an Airtek
Not sure about the manual version. Supplied and fitted around $700.

Hi Stumbly1, I have actually posted info on the Pajero club of Victoria web site but here is the bottom line. There is no problem with the Pajero petrol having a
snorkel fitted. The problem you have is with the DID Diesel with the Safari Brand..Safari acknowledges that there is a problem they haven't fixed yet. I bought a 2009 diesel auto and after talking with the helpful people at Safari I was told to wait because they are still trying to sort out glitches regarding the Pajero diesel. Because the NT 2009 diesel is nearly always on boost from the turbo there is a resonating noise & vibration through the Safari set up. Safari have notified ARB and at this stage have advised against fitting their product unless the customer is made aware of the noise/vibration problem. I opted for the TJM Airtech because they test their snorkels for Pajero's on auto NT (which is what I have) & there isn't a problem. I have had
mine fitted for 6 months now and it;s fine. Airtech is cheaper than the Safari model & I suppose as good quality. I have had Safari products for years and the quality is second to none however with the
snorkel for the NT Airtech is the only brand to fit. Hope this helps. There is also a post on here or a blog that discusses snorkels. Regards
