I thought my dream to go fly in Witchcraft was at a deadend , totally out of the question , until I worked out how much I would be able to save by quitting smoking , , Quit I have and now the dream is looking good, Due to my WW2 research it has connected me up with Bill Bever in Texas, his Dad was on the B-24 that A.K. KELLY crashed into , (check that link ) ... so it looks like I might get that flight next year , It would be great to do the Sunday Photo's from Texas .

Yeh, so do I. I forgot to add that Bill has offered for me to stay at his place at McKinney, Texas , 40 minutes from Dallas Airport, So beating accomodation costs helps too.

Doug, that's an inspiring plan, good advert to give up smoking.

PS. Do you need someone to go up first, y'know be sure it's safe to fly in, perhaps carry you bags? I'm here to help............!

Good stuff giving up the cancer sticks Doug.

Being a young fella and not really having any idea about this beastly looking plane, whats the reason behind it being your dream to fly in it? I dont mean to sound rude or intrusive, just interested in hearing more about this wild machine. I am guessing it must of played an important part in the war(s), and must be rare nowadays too?

Good luck, really looks like a serious machine, love the gun hanging out the front.

Another reason is that I live just 65 Klms from where they were based, I've driven around the taxiways and I'm now a member of the 380th Bomb Group Association , for more info about that google it .

Good luck to you young fella on both counts.

The smokes first, that's got to have you posting the Sunday history lesson for many years to come and secondly on using the smokes to achieve your dream!

I hope the whole experience is far more than you expect it to be.

Geoff

Geoff,

Grey hair is hereditary, you get it from children. Baldness is caused by watching the Wallabies.
