Gooday all and I have inherited from one of our sons, a Codan 8727 HF transceiver that is fitted with some of the RFDS crystals plus a few other freqs and a manually tapped antenna. It is just another of the bits and pieces cluttering space in the shed and was wondering if it is worth selling. It was working up to when it was removed from his vehicle but that was a few years ago. Would any of you knowledgeable people give me some idea as to it's worth. Thanks in anticipation.

Hi Beachbum,
The value of your Codan 8727 will depend on what frequencies are available and whether or not they match those in the manual tap antenna.
If the frequencies are not ones in common use, (2020 is a common one that springs to mind) then the cost of changing them and buying a new antenna, either manual Tap or Autotune may
well exceed the value of the Codan.
Hope this helps.
Disco.

Hi
Contact the
HF radio Club, they should be able to help you and perhaps even sell it for you.
