Thats Fingal. Just over the Qld/NSW border. Beach driving is allowed by permit for "the purpose of fishing only - joyriding and picnicking are not permitted"...but most use rod & reel, not their fourby!

A friend bought a wrangler and the sales team told her that you cannot bog a wrangler!

I showed her that you can :-)

D200Dug,

There's not a 4x4on the market that doesn't bog.

Last time I went to Fraser there were 4 Prados bogged at Inskip and observed a Wrangler drive past the lot.

A few months prior to that a brand new Prado bogged between DI Point and Rainbow Beach and was taken by the surf, didn't look too good on the back of the RACQ truck full of sand and leaking salt water.

If you're ever up that way call into the Shell servo there some good photos there of fourbies taken by the surf.

Most of the time it is driver error and inexperience. For all we know the guy in the Wrangler may not even had the vehicle in 4x4.

I bet I can bog your vehicle too.

With skill and effort you can bog anything

I have seen people bog tanks

We were looking for a new house and the real estate agent showed us one that had a tracked bobcat bogged in the yard !

( we did not buy that one :-)

PS I am sure I am quite capable of bogging my little truck, and I am pretty sure I will manage to bog it sooner or later.

The only way not to bog a 4x4 is to only drive it on bitumen :-(

No driving allowed on that beach - so I'm guessing his insurance company will not pay up.
