Hi all
Me again! I had VKS send me some info a while ago (don't know where I put it) in regards to new stations comming on air? Can anyone give me info as to how I get these on to my Codan NGT? We live in Darwin.
Thanks Lyndon

Gooday Lyndon,
the Codan dealers in Darwin are RANms Communications at 36 Gardens Hill Cres. Stuart Park Ph. 89808980. When I got my Codan installed, they were $200 cheaper than anyone else in Darwin, and did a good job. MM me if you need more info.
regards

You might be referring to the new channels being approved for the network's use ? Channel 6 (6796khz) and channel 7 (10180khz). Can't say re owner configs on the NGT - my Barrett 950 was straight forward , thanks to some tips given to me.

I haven't used my HF for many months (maybe a year or more) as we haven't been on any remote trips.

However, when I got word of the 2 new channels, I thought it would be as easy as hitting the channel UP and DOWN buttons to locate the new frequencies and then be able to use them. Of course I lnew it would cost $$$$ to have them added to the auto-scroll function on my Barrett 550, but can't see why it has to be necessary?? Is it necessary or just desireable?
Cheers

Dunno about an NGT, but my 9323's were easily done.

Hi Lyndon NT
there is a couple of things you can do
1 Find a dealer who sells Codan NGT an also services them AND PAY

2 Join VKE237 HF RADIO CLUB AND they will do it for you free of charge

Thanks for the reply's. I think I will contact the folks at Stuart Park and see what they can do and what the costs involved are.
Don't wish to join another network at this stage as we aren't really travelling.
Thanks Lyndon

Does the mike plug into the big box, or is there a smaller box that the mike plugs into?

Not sure, will have to take a look. I think it goes to the big box. I thought there was only one box. Knowing my luck it only has one, every mans dream to have two :-)
