The new Hyundai Santa Fe will be released with an up dated Diesel motor.
The 2.2 litre 'R' series had increased power and torque over the current model.
Power has increase to 145kw and torque to 436Nm (Auto) and 421Nm (man).
Fuel economy has been reduced a further 7%.
Pretty impressive for a 2.2 litre donk.
The towing capacity remains the same at 2000kg with a max Ball Weight of only 150kg.
With the previous model the Ball Weight could be increased by 30kg to 180kg by fitting Hyundai's 'Trek n Tow" rear
suspension package.
Unfortunately the 'Trek n Tow" package is not available with the new 'R' series.

Still be a Santa Gay with no low range and only 7.5% of the tow capacity as the ball weight. Pretty twitchy at that. 10% is the normal to allow.

Are you saying people have to have a 4WD with low range to be on this
forum ????
I don't have one, but you may be surprised how far they will go offroad ( for a softroader )....and for the person whos not thinking of doing
cape york or the simpson, may be very happy with one !!!!

No I'm saying I don't believe serious 4WD buyers would consider a Santa Fe when so many better options exist IMO.
