Hi All

Doing it myself and need some advice.

The last thing to do on my Electronic brake controller is to tap into the brake light switch with the instructions stating the cold or switched side.
Would I need to tap into the wire coming from the battery or after the switch that is going to the tail light etc.

Dual Battery
I was after the best / easiest point to attach the wire that goes to the on position of the ignition switch. Personally I was thinking the ignition relay switch in the box next to the original battery.

Thanks
for any help in advance

Hi Roger. You would need to tap into the wire that activates the BRAKELIGHTS. If you have a combination Cruise Control/ Brakelight switch it may take a bit to work it out. If not it will be the wire from the switch that activates AFTER the pedal is depressed. You may need the ignition on. See if your brakelights work without the key on first. Regards,Bob.

Think about it If its coming from the battery it will have power ALL the time wont it

The cold side is AFTER the switch You need a multimeter to be sure

Dual Battery
Usually you can tap into a wire on the wiper motor to get power.

What sort of a Battery controller is it A Redarc doesnt need any power other than the batteries.

It has a blue wire which is for hooking the two batteries together by pressing a switch on the dash

If you are so unsure perhaps a sparky is the go.
