I am interested in fitting a heat exchanger to the XTail as I will be traveling to some isolated places next year. I was wondering what would fit into the XTrail and what would be the best of the best. Thanx Steve. B...

Steve,

Whilst I have no experience with fitting a heat exchanger to a Xtrail, or know which brands would fit. I do however have a Twine heat exchanger fitted to my Patrol, and have been using it for the last 6 - 7 years, and have found the build quality of the unit to be good, with no problems to date.

Search around because I think there are some manufacturers around who are making all sorts of differant sizes. A mate and I built one a while ago out of 4" exhaust tube and copper tubing, and it was not a hard job if you are a little handy and have access to a few tools.

I have a Helton on the Nissan Patrol and had it previously on the Prado. Works great and they are a ExplorOz trader.
