Solar panels

What is the consensus of cheap solar panels on E bay? Are they value for money or are they cheap and nasty? Has anyone bought one and would you by one again or would you spend the extra dollars to purchase from a reputable seller? Or is another case of "pay for what you get"
Thank you in advance for those who reply.

Caveat Emptor ...
Mind you I sell occasionally on E-bay ..
There is always a chance of getting second quality panels from E-bay as indeed with anything purchased through E-bay - There are reputable sellers and there are a few rogues ... Its your choice just be aware of the possibility of warranty issues etc .

My thoughts on E-bay !

No one appears to want to touch this - so here goes.

I have two of Mandrake's large panels on the roof of my van. Very happy with quality and performance, so I went back for a further two small panels for a diferent exercise.

The usual disclaimer applies blah, blah.

Do your sums again you cheapskate!

Two plus two equals four. Thats four beers from Santa, not two.

Hmmmmm

Noun 1. cheapskate - a miserly person
tightwad
miser - a stingy hoarder of money and possessions (often living miserably)

Nup !! Definitely not me ..

Better make it an even half dozen then ..

I brought some BP panels of ebay for around $300 cheaper (80w). Now they are a lot cheaper due to A$. Thought about the cheap units at around $400 at the time but considered the risks of quality and hassles of getting them back to supplier- China. However I noticed some going for well under $300 a few weeks ago. Don't know what I'd do now as 3 X $300 is way better than 3 X $650. Still a risk but maybe worth it, may not be.
