reddeer,
I guess it boils down to what you want to use it for, I bought
mine brand new and have since (2007) taken a 6 week trip from
Melbourne up to the centre and along the great central rd, up to
Marble Bar,
Broome,
Derby (did some trips to various gorges whilst in
Derby) on to
Kununurra and then back home down the Stuart Hwy. It handled the heat and the corrugations extremely
well, no mechanical problems what so ever, only one puncture, in approx 10,000 klms!
I am heading off again next July to have a more thorough squizz around the
Kimberley, the car has clocked up approx 134,000 klms at the moment and still going strong, on the last trip I was getting 11 - 12 L/100KMS (fully loaded, no trailer) driving locally to work etc. I get about 9 - 10 L/100KMS.
As long as you get it serviced regularly as per the service manual you shouldn't have too many problems with it!
Regards, John
