Well we leave
Jabiru tomorrow morning for
Darwin, we will do some last minute shopping then on Sunday afternoon fly out to Europe to see the out laws for 6 weeks.
We would like to wish all a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year, I will try to post while we are away from time to time just to say G/Day, and speak English LOL.
This is what the Temp will be when we arrive on Monday.

Hi Steve,
Just gone 10am here and it is -2C, heavy frost and thick fog.
Supposed to get to a nice warm 6C though.
Great fun de-icing the car, ice on the inside and outside of the windows!
Cheers,
Dennis

We actually have friends in
Jabiru that fly out to Scotland and hour before us, we will meet them in Singapore and maybe travel to Scotland for for a couple of days.
We will play that by ear.
Cheers Steve.

Have a great time. After living in
Darwin for years I can really sympathise with you when it comes to feeling the cold. We always would say that territorians only have about two blood corpuscles knocking round in their bloodstream to keep them warm.
Here are some photos to look forward to. Found these on an email one day about a great ice storm...

Hi Steve,
It doesn't have to be the northern hemisphere either. We are camped at
3 Mile Dam next to Mt Selwyn at the moment.
Yesterday morning it was 1.6 degrees with a 43 k/h wind blowing off the top of the
snowy mountains. The "feels like" reading was -5.7 degrees.
In 2006 I camped here on Christmas Day and it snowed. Came back from a morning walk to discover that the fuel had frozen in my truck. All that with just 2 mars bars remaining in the food kitty.
It is fantastic up in the NT. Have a great trip. Carl

One of my old flatmates from my younger days travelling in Europe sent me a letter from his native Canada. He was working up north on the oil rigs.
The day he wrote the letter it was -60 there.
The day I opened the letter it was +40 here.
100 degrees difference. I know which end I would rather be at.
