Chef,
Floor dimensions for my dog crate are 900x1100 and 900x650 for the two compartments (full width of a cruiser tray with a swing door in the middle). It sits 900 high, with the upper section tapering in to follow the line of the headboard and the cab (too high in hindsight, could easily have got away with ~750).

My two boofhead pigdogs travel quite happily in the larger side (up to 10hr trips) with a water bowl in the summer months. Swags and the like go in the other side as its a bit of a squeeze for the two, but for a single dog it is more than adequate.

Enough room for muttley to stand up in and turn around in is usually pretty spot on.
Happy welding
Cheers
Craig
