I have always found it interesting that in 2009 in Queensland Toyota Landcruiser LC200 outsells the Nissan Patrol alomost 2 to 1 (64% of the large SUV market compared to Nissans 35%) - despite being about $35,000 dearer !!

There is a simple reason for that.
They are a better vehicle, not much better mind you, just a little bit better but definitely not $35000 better.
Nissan, without the dreaded Z30 motor, are much better value IMHO.
Toyota, after something like 25 years, has finally updated it's ancient motors, Nissan is yet to do so. When that happens
the gap will close markedly.
Just to put it into perspective, neither is anywhere as good as the Disco4, the Disco3 or the DiscoTD5 .
