Well we made it to
Perth and what a shock to strike hot weather. When we left QLD 2 weeks ago the weather was cool and we had cool to cold weather even having to use a dooner up until Friday. Now to settle in then look for a job. Oh the pain of it all not winning Lotto.

Welcome to Western Australia. Two weeks from Queensland to here sounds quick where you towing a van? I only ask because we are doing the crossing from
Geraldton to Wagga and plan on taking two weeks at least to get there.

Welcome to
Perth Crow, yes the weather is "lovely" hope the haze isn't around for too long, we live in the hills and normally are fairly clear of any smoke etc, but today we are copping it too.
Enjoy your stay and hope you find a job soon, shouldn't take too long over here.
Cheers
Deanna

You better drop the QLD bit in your member name Crow...you're a sandgroper now!
Once your Mrs has finished her course, head bush. Country WA is screaming for nursing type staff and I believe the $$$ are pretty good. Walk into a job anywhere.
Doesn't matter much what you do, same story across the state, but I'd head North...BIG BUCKS up for grabs.
Anyway, enjoy.....

Yeah big bucks, but also even bigger cost of living. Double the rent, double the shopping bill, double vehicle costs, double the heat, BUT triple the Quality of life.
Welcome to WA, time to start livin.

Hi Crow, you will obviously be spending a fair amount of time in the northern suburbs, so I will keep an eye out for the cruiser.
Did they explain that you need a visa to cross the narrows bridge?
Cheers
Mark

Spent a bit a time looking around
Joondalup today stocking up on the things we had to get rid of before we crossed the border into WA ( Fruit & Vegs). Place looks great and everybody we met today was very friendly.

You are lucky you didnt linger in SA as the temp was 50deg under awning at 2pm today with a hot searing wind from the west.
Also a fair bit of smoke maybe from the fires in the west???????
Could hardly see Pt
Augusta from Hancocks
lookout.
