Uniden UH078SX using VOX

G'day Guys,
I'm hoping someone out there might be able to tell me if they've had any issues with using VOX on their UH078SX. I am using a HM078CQ headset which seems to work for the PTT button but can't get it to work with VOX only. I have gone into the menu and saved the VOX settings at all different levels 1-9 but nothing seems to work. Has anyone had an issue with this or have I just got a dud?

Hey mate,
I bought the same 2 ways so I could use them for the vox as
well. Imagine my surprise when they told me they don't have the correct headset in aus to use the VOX.
But they were able to modify a uniden VM-075 to allow me to use it. The lower the number on the vox ie 1 is the less sound that has to be heard for it to pick it up.
They are still not all that crash hot but when there is sound at the other end it does pick it up its just a bit hard to understand,But I don't need to understand it just need to no if my boys crying.
