Hi Sharon,

Had a look at BOM this morning, its heading south and they reckon it will be back up to cat 3 in a day or 2 and maybe coming in again around port hedland.

I'm a bit further south at Paraburdoo so maybe we will get some rain out of it.

Cheers, Keith

Hi Sharon,

as you know we are in Broome, its very wet and very windy, we are currently on Blue alert and are advised that we will be on yellow alert by this afternoon........ the shopping centre have advised that the shops will shut on a yellow and to buy what you need now! We are probably going to head inland this afternoon, we have packed up (yet again) and are ready to roll.

Cheers

Good choice Caz. Head to derby maybe or Willare roadhouse if you dont still wanna spend Xmas in Broome. I'd say it will be down blasting the Pilbara by then.

Hello to all,

Thanks so much for your concern!!! We packed up the rest of the gear at 3.30pm on Saturday and a convoy of 5 vans pulled out and headed for Willare, the first night we free camped at the servo, the 2nd night they let us stay in the park behind the servo. Woke this morning (Monday) to discover Willare had 29mls of rain over night (it was a wild night of rain and wind).

We got back to Broome this morning about 11am - still wet and windy, however 80 mile beach has gone red alert and its a cat 5. Hope all will be ok

Cheers
Caz
