Afternoon all
I've just hooked up to a faulty trailer and blown my tail light fuse.

have check the owners manual - no help
Have check the fuse box in the clove comparment -- no blown fuses and no mention of tail light (or any other lights)
Have check fuse box on drivers side in engine comparment - no blown fuses
There is another box on passenger slide in engine camparment but that also doesn't mention fuses.

I am assuming that I am no the first to blow a tail light fuse. Does nayone have any idea wher Nissan may have hidden it
Cheers

Hi Daryl,

I'm told that Nissan now keep all their fuses in the factory as they simply cannot trust the Nissan drivers to look after them! LOL

Cheers

Yes there is a hidden fuse box in the D40, in the engine bay up against the fire wall next to the left guard is a black flat topped control module. Unclip it and lift it up as far as the wires will allow, underneath you will find a collection of fuses including the one you're looking for.

The box I'm referring to is tucked right in the corner of the LH guard and the fire wall. From memory it is about 10cm square, with a flat black top, and when you unclip it the underside is white with a lot of wires going into it from the underside, where about a dozen fuses are contained. The box itself is a control module although I cannot remember off hand what it controls. It's fairly easy to locate, let me know how you get on.

Hi Jon
Got it. What ever possessed Nissan to do that. Verges on the ridiculous. Looks as though the actually control unit controls the head and tail lights plus a couple of other things.
Problem is I have had to put all back together because the fuses in that box don't match the fuses in the other boxes so have to go shopping.
I count 4 fuse boxes now. 2 that are mentioned in the owners manual and 2 that are not
Many thanks for you help
Cheers
