Bendethera Valley

This cleared yet picturesque valley, right in the heart of the Deua National Park provides excellent camping grounds right beside the crystal clear waters of the Deua River.

Bendethera Valley is in the Deua National Park, 320km south west of Sydney and 100km south east of Canberra. Min. requirement is a 4WD with low range and adequate clearance

Hi All,

Planning on visiting Deua National park in January; my question is can we take an off-raod camper trailer into Bendethera to camp. Havent been there in years.
Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers.

Yes, any good off road c/t will do it easily but if it rains even just a bit getting out will be hard unless you can stay a day or two longer.

Also watch weather and other conditions for bush fires.

Hi.
I took my Camper Trailer into Bendethera in October. The road to the east there is a single hairpin turn; the road to the west is OK. This assumes it is dry of course!

... I've been informed my sense of direction is wrong ... the hairpin is when approaching from the West, the coastal side has no such issues... Cheers

Not a problem and a really nice place to look around. Just watch out when it gets wet - then it's really interesting trying to get out and also when you drop the tyre pressure on your 4WD do the same on the trailer - just makes it that little bit better for everyone - you included. rgds
