Yeah, im interested to hear some feedback on these winches. They just look a little too cheap. wonder how they stack up against the Ironman and others which also look cheap. Very interesting comparo in a mag a while ago, where the big dollar Warns were outdone by the Ironman, and Premier took top honours.

What those mag tests can't account for is longevity.
Cheap - because they come from China perhaps. That, however, does not necessarily mean they will not last. Not all Chinese goods are rubbish these days.

Mate - I didn't specifically say Chinese 4WD stuff. Just said "goods". A mate with an engineering shop has bought a heap of big stuff (lathes etc) and he is more than happy with the quality.
In any event I did say that the stuff is better quality "these days" - not from 10 years ago, when the quality was poor.
If you don't like Chinese stuff then don't buy it, however, don't automatically assume that because it is Chinese that it is crap. They used to say the same about Japanese stuff many years ago.

I have recently fitted one of these winches to my 80series after removing
a Warn Magnum. After opening both of these winches the Tigerz appears to be of better quality. The Warn had very little grease inside and is not sealed where as the Tigerz is fully sealed and had plenty of grease inside.
The Tigerz has solid state control box compared to the relay set-up of the Warn, it also runs much cooler..
The only criticism I have is with the synthetic rope supplied with the winch, it is of poor quality.
If purchasing one I would suggest saving the extra money you have to pay for the synthetic rope to purchase a higher quality rope.
