Doing some homework on a trip next year & looking at a trip from
White Cliffs -
Wanaaring -
Hungerford to
Eulo. I am aware of the dirt road & varying conditions etc that occur but is it suitable to tow a caravan on that route? Thanks for any guidance.

We did
Wanaaring -
Hungerford-
Eulo this year, the road is ok if you take your time but if there has been a little rain it is real slippery and yes we had a van. It can get a little corrugated through
Currawinya NP ,this
park is worth a day or two stop over.

John - we did the trip from
White Cliffs to
Eulo in 2008. From memory the road once you leave
White Cliffs and go east to join the
Wilcannia Wanaaring road is very good. When you turn north on this road it was rough - stony for the next 20 kms and then got better up to
Wanaaring.
From
Wanaaring to
Hungerford the road was in good condition - a bit sandy to start with but again improved.
At
Hungerford we camped about 19 k ms north of the town at a
bore which was on the side of the
old road that went to
Thargomindah.
At
Currawinya NP if you go to the old
Caiwarro ruins and cross the river then proceed north to the pump hole you will find some
good camp spots on the river.
We then stayed on the eastern side of the river and went to
Eulo - the road was very good - less traffic - you can
camp on the river at
Eulo or behind the hotel for a small fee.
Have a good trip
A J
