Took this 180 panorama on the Newell Highway just south of Moree this morning.

Got a tad damp for a while. Some much needed rain for the area.

John,

St George had a decent storm this afternoon, winds around 140km/h and 50mm of rain in under 30mins.

There was trees, powerlines and about a dozen houses lost their roof's. The aged care centre also lost over 50% of the roof as well.

We are now getting some of the rain associated with the storm front that is passing through. We usually miss any rain that comes from that direction :(

Cheers Kev

Just as well the gathering wasn't this week Kev.

The yabby races would have been fun though.

If you know someone with a Canon digital camera the S/W that came with it would have included a small program called Canon PhotoStitch.

This allows you to line up a series of photos and merge them into a panorama.

Like this one:

Sometimes not everything lines up. You can see a join in the jet contrail in the sky behind the hill.

If you find the S/W just copy the disc. It works with any camera. You can probably even download it from the Canon website.

cheers

I use a program called AutoStitch. I think it's better than the Canon one.

The camera I used is a Canon Powershot IS710.

thanks for the reply.
My mate has a canon, might have a look on his discs for his software. Will also check out Autostitch.
We are heading off around oz next year. planning on taking lots of pics (as you do) good panoramic ones are a must. Plan on hopefully being able to get some on canvas if we taker some good ones.

merry christmas
