Was frustrated to note that one of Oz's most iconic
places; Lasseter's Lost Reef is not yet up on the
Places!!?

I think that is precisely the problem John, no one knows where is it.
When you eventually do find it John please let us know, they have been looking for a long time.
This is not meant to be a smart alec reply either, it would be on the top of my list if I knew where it was.

Actually i have it on good merit lasseters reef is a little closer to home .
37.803068 s,144.957564 e
pop that one into google earth but im sure plenty of people already know about it by now.
especially toyota owners.
