Dog lovers will be touched by the emotional tribute to man’s best friend at the
Corrigin Dog Cemetery. Stroll around the
cemetery and read the eighty or so inscriptions on gravestones from pet owners who have laid their dogs to rest.
Located 5kms out of town on the
Brookton Highway, the
cemetery is landmarked by a statue of a large dog.

Established in 1974,
the Dog Cemetery is a tribute to Mans Best Friend. With over 80 loved ones now buried, the
cemetery is unique to
Corrigin and worth a visit. Take time to read some of the headstones, which are all made and maintained by a local resident.
To find such a strange place outside an unassuming little wheatbelt town like
Corrigin is both fascinating and a credit to the owners.

Hi Doug,
It is surely an interesting place. Stumbled across the "Resting Place" on my travels last year & as a doggie person found this a unique tribute to man's best friend.
