Guys, anyone with some longer term experience with the Powerful 4x4 Roof Racks? Seem to be
well priced $600 for the 1.6m or $800 for 1.8m-2.2m length racks.
Thanks
Mike

If its for your Patrol should be Ok but the 100 ser they had some had fitting difficulties.
I guess what you pay for
Hop onto Lcool and there is a thread there on their stuff for Toyotas of course but will give you an idea.

Mike
Are you talking about these ?

They are a chinese ARB look alike, and reasonably priced.
I grabbed a set of these, for my recent trip to the Kimberleys, via the Canning
I did replace the Chinese bolts with real hi tensile bolts and nylock nuts, from BJ Bearings. Make sure that you silicone up holed in bars first.
They performed faultlessly, even on all those corrugations. Where they clip onto the gutter of my Patrol I put some plastic 1" syphon hose, there to save the paint work.
Can't fault them
Cheers Bucky

Hey Mike,
I've had
mine for a couple of years now. I have done two major trips with it loaded, no problems at.
It is very similar to the ARB rack, slightly higher though (about 25mm).
It was fiddly to fit (I have the full length on my HZJ105), took three of us about an hour to get it done, instructions not so good, brackets got mixed up first time round!
Has some dents and grazes now, but all the welds are looking good.
I would have preferred to support any of the big brands through a local
shop, but for less than half the price I took the risk. I don't believe it is half the quality.
I got pretty good service from the guys as
well. They replied to my emails (with the requested info), and the rack arrived on time to WA. This seems to be an issue sometimes with some of the 4WD business's around.
Regards,
Ross.
