What is the general thought on sealing a new
Snorkel? Urethane seems to be the logical solution but maybe i am wrong. Sikaflex Urethane is readily avialable from Bunnings but there are so many different types. Can anyone suggest the best one for the job. Im fitting a genuine Nissan
snorkel to my old 4.2tdi GU Bus..!! Thanks in anticipation... Michael

Mick,
Sikaflex is the go and 11FC would be fine. If you haven't used it before, make sure you have turps on hand and try to use it sparingly.
Have a good one

I agree with 11FC.
Paint it afterwards for better UV resistance.
Cheers,
Peter

Michael
The fitting instructions that came with my Safari
snorkel said to use a "sensor safe" sealer. Apparently the fumes from some sealers can cause problems with engine sensors. I rang Safari and they told me to use Permatex Ultra Black. I read everything on the packet and sure enough it had "sensor safe " written on it.

Sounds like you've answered your own question...use the Permatex Ultra Black then. Saves any arguments if a future warranty claim is to be had.
