child seat restraint points in 80 series???

Hi All, I need to fit the baby
seat to my 80. it is a 94 model and does not have the three mounting points accross the top of the rear as found in the earlier models. My drawer system is mounted to the rear 8 bolt holes where the third row seats locked down. Can I mount the rear restraint point to the drawers?
Is there any body I can see around
Albany WA who can certify or install a suitable restraint point.

You could ask at Westenbergs who are Panel beaters and chassis repairers.

My 1995 80 Series GXL has 3 child
seat anchor points above the top rear door mount.

Under no circumstances should you attach a child restraint to a set of drawers. It is dangerous beyond belief.
Contact the drawer manufacturer and they should be able to tell you how to do it. We are a manufacturer of drawers and all of our units are designed to allow for safe fitting of child restraints. Any drawer manufacturer worth their salt will have taken this into consideration; it's not difficult.

If they aren't in the roof they'll be in the floor under the front of the drawers. You should still be able to attach an extension strap to the mount and leave the tail hanging out to attach a
seat to whenever it is required. The floor mounted ones in my '93 did not catch on the drawers.
