Has anyone had any issues with the cladding on the sides of their caravan distorting in very hot weather. If so what was the cause and the outcome

Mine does, just near where it haqs been cut in around the door.
On very hot days it gets a sort of ripple in it.
I put it down to not being enough of a cut out for the door so when the heat comes on the cladding pushes against the door frame and can't go anywhere so it bulges outwards.
Didn't notice it when the van was under warranty of course.

Thanks, I think that is what is happening to our van. Luckily it is only 4 months old and still under warranty.

Greetings. No problems in five years, including 45C over two weeks. We nearly melted but the van didn't. WD

It's caused by the sheets being too long.
I've seen it many times on the back of vans.
The offending sheets need to be trimmed a little on the end.
It's a job for a specialist van repairer.

Thanks, the offending sheets are down the right hand side of the van between the windows and the hatches for the
toilet and hot
water service.
I will be contacting the manufacturer as soon as they return from the Xmas break. I think it will be a big job. Disappointing considering the van is only 4-5 months old.
