Hi all, have had my Jayco Expanda for around 4 months now and have been thoroughly enjoying it! I am seeking advice from the people that know about what annexe I really should be buying for it, I want one that is pretty solid and has antiflap kit, etc........so i I'd really appreciate some guidance as to what you have yourself & what works
well.
Cheers & Happy New Year!
John

Hi
John,
Just put up where you are (location) , the year it was made and if you are travelling or staying in one place for a while. Age of children will help as
well.
If it has a roll out awning, it will make it much easier but it might have come with a awning that slides into a track on the side of the roof. Older versions had this type and it is ok if you are staying in one place. IE Christmas holidays. If you are travelling and your children are very
young and not able to assist putting it up, it can be a frustrating job.
The annex that comes with them, that I have worked on, has clips to hold it to the roof. Fitting into eyelets holes. This is very hard to fit and takes some strength.
If you are staying put a heavier canvas is better but if travelling all the time a lighter canvas is easier to put up.
Expandas are really designed for the family heading off for chrismas holidays and staying put idea. They are excellent for this.

Hi, I live in Warrnambool and as such a lot of our touring travelling will be around the South West of Vic, however we will probably have most of Vic covered in travel over the next couple of years.
The van itself is an expanda built in 2008 (late) with the hard tops at each end, with a roll-out awning. Sleeps 6 inside, up to 8 if we put the table down, kids range from 15 months through to 7 years of age.
Hope that this helps,
John

There are quite a few awning wall makers in Vic, but the biggest and probably the most popular is Tebbs in Dandenong. The other popular maker is Aussie Traveler.
Tebbs are
tailor made to suit your van and supplied with Aussie Traveler anti-flap bars.
