If you drop into the Dimboola
Riverside Caravan Park the owner )Paul) will probably provide you with all the info you need as he and his wife also operate a Eco Friendly resort in the Little Desert.

"....driving a

A poorly equipped Subaru would tackle anything in the Little Desert. Tracks are easy, pretty flat & the sand not particually soft. Westprint maps have an excellent sheet covering the history, flora & fauna. If you have time I suggest dropping into their
shop in Nihll. They also have heaps of books on the area & being so close know the
Park inside out so could recommend some highlights.
Cheers Craig.............

Craig
thanks for the reply,as you can see from the previous reply my post should have been a bit earlier,I did find some soft sand but was not a problem once the tyre pressure was dropped ,it was
well worth the detour and will visit the area again.

"will visit the area again"
If you liked the Little Desert then you'll absolutely love the
Big Desert &
Wyperfeld National Park to the north. Sand is far more challenging with a few dunes as difficult as the Simpson. There is also far more history to explore, & quite a few lookouts with marked walking
trails if that way inclined.
Cheers Craig.....
