We all know the rules about gates open and gates shut on properties but it really amuses me when I see a small vehicle stop at the gate/s ( yes.....out my front window again) dead center and then have to open 2 gates, why in hell do they do that..!!! , instead of keeping over to one side and only have to swing one
gate instead of two.
Look at the width, could park 2 semi's in that gateway.

Could also get the passenger to climb in through the driver's door to reduce the wear on the car door hinges.

I know where you are coming from Having been brought up on a
farm.
Common sense is a very uncommon thing these days.
Or is it people just cant drive or know how wide their vehicle actually is.
I was made to drive along and run over fag packets with my left wheels till I could judge the width.
Wish a lot more had learnt also.

Doug,
These are the same people that can't pull over to the left for a left turn or to the right for a right turn AND insist on blocking the intersection with you behind wondering which way they'll go.
Kind regards

Doug, Some people just love gates and can't resist opening as many as are available.
It's a bit like when I get to an overtaking lane and there is no-one to overtake, I feel cheated and want to ask for a rain-
check.

Yes I agree why open 2 gates when one will do.
Then again a lot of double gates that one opens are not swung/hung correctly and the 2nd
gate will often swing open by itself. If you get my drift.
From your
pic it looks like the
gate nearest the signs has a stick or something to reduce its rearward swing and maybe the other has one also?????????
Thats why my
gate opener sits in the passengers
seat LOL.
