Following on the Thread about Garmin and Voices, you will soon be able to link your Nuvi to the Onboard Diagnostics Port and get a display of all your important parameters.

Yeah, looks great BUT, unfortunately only a very limited number of Garmins will be able to be used: The following devices are compatible with ecoRoute:

nüvi 205 Series
nüvi 705 Series
nüv 1200 Series
nüvi 1300 Series
Hopefully the list might expand, but I won't hold my breath waiting.

You are right Ian, but why would anyone consider hanging on to an older one, even bothering to upgrade the maps?

JB have the 1390 for $277.
