Hi- we found this site a few days ago & find it extremely informative (& at times, very entertaining!).We are total novices, coming from the world of yachties, & are planning a trip to Cairns next year, around the Top End.(We have done it before, but stuck to the bitumen last time we drove). We have been looking at 4x4 camper trailers & have taken note of all the tips & information posted on the site, as well as our own research- so thank you all. We have been looking at the Pioneer 4x4 camper trailer & wondered if anyone has any experience of them, good or bad. We are WA based & saw them displayed at Wangara.

Anne & Steve,

My advise is look around before you commit to buying a Pioneer. We looked at them (very briefly) when we upgraded to a new campertrailer 10 months ago. In our opinion they were way overpriced for what you got. The Perth 4WD, camping & caravan show is on in early Nov. Why not wait until then and have a good look around as there are always heaps of campertrailers there.

http://www.groups.yahoo.com/group/wa_campertrailers

Now over 100 members there so a good knowledge base for all makes and models of campertrailers. Feel free to drop in sometime.
