Ian, only yesterday I was reading about it in Barry Heard's book
Well Done, Those Men. But took it back to the library about three hours ago! Very good book about Heard's training, his service and his subsequent health problems.
Most interesting as I was there at the same time as an AAP-Reuters correspondent.
Cheers, Tony

Whilst not knowing the area personally, the following extract may be of use:

Looking at the map now, the only
hill with a trig point (PSM 523.237) is Mt Certainty, which would be Tit
hill and were(sp) the 25 metre ranges were located. There is another, Buckley
Hill which is one
grid square due East of Mt Certainty.
Bruces wanted to know the name of the
hill between the school of Armour and 1 AR, now the school of Artillary, and that is Mt Disappointment

Hope that helps.
Andrew
