Can anyone recommend an "Autofridge" repairer in Perth's northern suburbs.

This fridge has never performed as well as I was led to believe. Now it needs to run 8 - 10 hours a day to keep things cold. It was never any use as a freezer unless it was on 240 volt.
I have since spoken with "autofridge" who have suggested taking it back to the WA agent and getting them to put it on test to see if there is any malfunction.

The Autofridge is a terrific performer so it must have a problem. I assume it is second hand if it is faulty.
A mate has one and it is probably 20 years old although it has had a recondition. He only has it on 1 or 2 or it freezes everything. Good luck with yours.

I have the 73 litre Autofridge and it has been great. The WA agent is WA Solar Supplies in Osborne Park.

Many years ago, mine malfunctioned - the eutectic chamber drained. It was well out of warranty, but the mfr took it back and fixed it at no cost - turned out that some early ones (early 90's) had a faulty sac holding the fluid. They stripped it, fitted new revised eutectic chamber and insulation. Worked fine since.

"It was never any use as a freezer unless it was on 240 volt."
As the Autofridge it'self solely runs on 12V I asume when you say it works OK on 240V that is with the optional external power pack. This being the case the problem may not even be the fridge but could possibly be your 12 volt suppy, undersized leads or a poor connection causing the problem. Compare the voltage at the plug closest to the fridge when running off a battery & the power pack.
