hi all
while refuelling the cruiser with diesel on the way to nsw south coast for Christmas
holidays, i noticed that the Hayman and Reece tow ball that i had purchased just days before was coming loose.
lifting the van from the tow ball using the jockey wheel and removing
the nut and washer and then the ball from the tongue i noticed that the washer was flat loosing its spring shape.
is this a common failure, has anyone heard of this happening before.
regards andy

If you are worried get a second nut and after pulling up the first one tighten the second one up to lock it on.

After 3 years on the road it took a real big spanner, lots of WD 40 and a long length of pipe to get
mine undone. I don't remember doing it up that tight lol.
